How to add an architrave to a door

In Virtual Worlds, after inserting a door, you may wish to add an architrave, or a door frame, around the door to enhance the realism of your design.

 

Inserting an Architrave

  1. Using the Select tool, left-click to select the door you wish to put a frame around.
     
  2. In the Control Panel, select the Catalogue tab and then select Generic > Architectural Elements.
     
  3. Click the Select filter drop-down menu and select Architraves.
     
  4. Left-click to select the desired architrave and click Insert Unit.
     
    Note: You must have selected a door first.

Adjusting the Architrave

You can adjust the width of the door frame in the 3D View tab:

  1. Using the Select tool, left-click to select the architrave you wish to edit.
     
  2. In the Control Panel, select the Layout tab.
     
  3. Under Size tools, adjust the value in the Height field. This will adjust the width of the door frame.
