Occasionally, after you finish sketching and click Generate Walls in Virtual Worlds, it might appear that some walls are missing. In fact, they haven't vanished; they just might not be visible from your current angle.
Understanding Wall Visibility
In Virtual Worlds, the walls are designed to be transparent on the outside, allowing users to see inside the room, similar to a one-way mirror. When the outside of the wall is visible, it appears as if the wall is not there. As you move past the wall, the side that can be seen will become visible once it crosses the central viewpoint.
Checking and Correcting Wall Visibility
- If the walls are not visible after rearranging the room, go to the Tools menu in the Design Window and choose Scene Graph. Then, type WallGroups in the search box to view all the walls in the design.
- Check every wall group to confirm that the hidden box is unchecked. If a wall is hidden, uncheck this box to display the wall in your design.
Note: If you encounter this problem after generating walls from the sketch, avoid adding windows or doors, or using 1TT to tile the floor. It will not be as simple to regenerate the wall.
