In Virtual Worlds, you can use the Layout tab in the Control Panel to adjust object properties, such as Reference (object location and alignment), Rotate/Nudge (object orientation), and Size. You can also view dimensions under Room Details, set Options, and review system Messages.
1. Reference
Under Reference, you can measure distances between an object, walls, and other objects. Select an object, click the Create/Update reference distance line icons (1, 2), and click on the desired points for measurement. Adjust distances in millimetres (mm) by typing values or using the arrow icons. Lock distances using the Lock reference distance icons. Toggle reference alignment to edges or the centre of the object using the Show reference distance to object centre icons (4, 5). Use the Align unit to surface centre icon (3) to align an object to a surface's centre or use Align unit to references centre (6) for dual reference alignment. Use Hide Refs or Delete Refs to remove or hide reference lines. |
2. Rotate/Nudge
Under Rotate/Nudge, you can rotate or nudge an object on the X, Y, or Z axes. Use the + and - icons to make adjustments. You can manually set an interval or select one from the drop-down menu. Enable Show to display the X, Y, and Z axes of the object. Choose Origin or Centre to define the rotation point and select World or Object to align the axes accordingly. |
3. Size
Under Size, adjust an object's Width, Height, and Depth. Lock scaling ratios using the Lock width scaling ratio, Lock height scaling ratio, and Lock depth scaling ratio icons. |
