Troubleshooting Custom Tiles
If your custom tile is not appearing correctly in Virtual Worlds, check the following:
Image Format
- Ensure your tile image is saved as a JPEG file
- If your image is from a phone or camera, try opening it in Paint and saving it as a JPEG
Image Size
- The image should be no larger than 1024 pixels on any side
- To check the image size, right-click the file, select Properties, then go to the Details tab
- If resizing is needed, open the image in Paint (included with Windows), click Resize, and adjust the dimensions
Image Colour Depth
- The colour depth should ideally be 16-bit or 24-bit
- To check this, right-click the image, select Properties, then go to Details
File Name Issues
- Image filenames should be free from symbols such as £$!/*"
- If your file has special characters, rename it and update the tile entry in Virtual Worlds
