Choosing the right PC specifications for Virtual Worlds ensures smooth performance and the best possible design experience. While our software runs on a variety of systems, we strongly advise using a Windows desktop or laptop that meets or exceeds our recommended specifications.
Note: We do not recommend running Virtual Worlds on Apple computers using Parallels or Terminal Services due to the high resource demands of our software. |
Virtual Worlds Basic (£)
These are the lowest specs we recommend for running Virtual Worlds. While the software will work, performance may be limited.

Additional Considerations
-
Laptops vs. Desktops: While Virtual Worlds runs on laptops, desktops generally provide better performance due to superior cooling and upgrade potential.
-
External Monitors: Using a second monitor can enhance productivity, especially for viewing reference materials while designing.
-
Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is essential for downloading catalogues and receiving software updates.
-
Backup and Storage: Consider using cloud storage or external drives to back up your projects regularly.
-
Graphics Driver Updates: Keeping your graphics drivers up to date ensures the best performance and stability.
- SQL Server Compatibility: Virtual Worlds uses Microsoft SQL Server 2019, which does not run on ARM-based processors. Other hardware requirements for SQL Server 2019 can be found here: SQL Server 2019: Hardware & Software Requirements.
