Note! If you wish to use a network licence, you must install Sentinel Protection from the Virtual Worlds User Centre. For more information, see How to install and update from the Virtual Worlds User Centre. |
A network licence displays information to each PC on the network via a licence dongle connected to one machine, for example a server. It can support between 10 and 50 users. Once you have installed Sentinel Protection, insert the dongle into a USB port on the intended machine.
NOTE! The machine with the licence dongle inserted must always be powered on and available to the network. |
Connecting to a network dongle
- Open Virtual Worlds Professional.
- You will be prompted to register a licence in the Licence Status window. Under Network Dongles, click Select Network Dongle and choose the correct IP address from the list, or enter it with your keyboard, and click Select.
- Once this is completed, under Licence Information should show both the Product and Support & Maintenance as OK.
Note! If the machine cannot be found, ensure it is powered on and that Network Discovery is enabled in the Windows 10 Settings app. Go to Network & Internet > Network and Sharing Centre > Change advanced sharing settings and select Turn on Network Discovery.
