The general unit settings for 2D diagrams in Virtual Worlds Professional provide you with advanced options to adjust how specific symbols and elements appear within your diagrams. You can find these by navigating to Tools and then Options. From here, expand the menus for 2D Diagrams and Unit Settings and select Status.
Miscellaneous Settings
The Miscellaneous Settings provide additional control over 2D diagrams for more effective customisation:
-
Show Rotation Boxes: Toggle the visibility of rotation boxes for selected items in your diagram.
- Reverse Dimension Line Order: Allows you to reverse the order of dimension lines to better suit the design's orientation and layout.
Symbol Override Settings
The Symbol Override Settings let you manage how symbols are represented when they are unavailable:
-
Use Rectangle for Missing Plan Symbols: When a specific symbol is unavailable for a plan, a rectangle is used as a placeholder.
-
Use Rectangle for Missing Elevation Symbols: If an elevation symbol is missing, a rectangular placeholder will be used.
Symbol Visibility Settings
The Symbol Visibility Settings allow you to choose whether certain items are shown in both plans and elevations:
-
Display Item on Plan: Choose whether the item is shown in the 2D plan representation of your design.
-
Display Item on Elevation: Toggle to decide whether the item should be visible in the elevation diagrams.
