The general settings for 2D diagrams in Virtual Worlds Professional allow you to customize various aspects of your diagrams, such as general settings for diagrams, units, annotations, and more. These settings ensure that your 2D plans and elevations meet the requirements of each project, providing the best possible representation.
General Diagram Settings
The General Diagram Settings control the overall behaviour and appearance of all new 2D diagrams:
-
Display Diagram Dimensions: Toggle to show or hide all dimensions in the 2D diagram by default.
-
Display Perimeter Dimensions: Show or hide dimensions for the external boundaries of the entire design.
-
Force Perimeter Dimension Regeneration: Automatically regenerate perimeter dimensions whenever changes are made.
-
Display Measurement Units: Toggle whether measurement units (e.g., "mm") are displayed alongside dimensions.
-
Centre Dimension Text Vertically: Align dimension text to the centre vertically for better clarity.
-
Round Dimensions to Zero Decimal Places: Rounds all displayed dimensions to the nearest whole number, simplifying visual representation.
-
Display Page Border: Show the page border in the 2D diagram for better alignment and print preparation.
- Minimum Reported Dimension: Set a threshold to hide any dimensions below a specific value.
General Unit Settings
The General Unit Settings control the individual units placed within the diagram:
-
Display Unit Separation Dimensions: Show the dimensions between different units within the design.
-
Display Door Unit Outer Dimensions: Toggle the visibility of door units' external dimensions.
- Hide Overlapped Unit Dimensions: Hide dimensions that overlap between units to keep diagrams clear.
General Reference Settings
Reference settings determine how annotation and manual references are displayed:
- Prevent Overlapped Unit References: Prevent reference text from overlapping units, ensuring the diagram remains legible.
Schedule Number Settings
The Schedule Number Settings manage how schedule numbers are assigned and displayed:
-
Generate Clockwise Schedule Number: Automatically assign schedule numbers to units in a clockwise direction.
- Generate Anti-Clockwise Schedule Number: Assign schedule numbers to units in an anti-clockwise direction.
Elevation Inclusion Volume
The Elevation Inclusion Volume settings control which parts of the design are included when creating 2D elevations:
-
Projection Depth: Set the depth of the projection area to determine how much of the 3D model is included in the elevation.
- Recess Depth: Adjust the depth for recessed areas to ensure accurate representation in the elevation.
