In Virtual Worlds, you can add internal walls to a plan to create new spaces, such as additional rooms, closets and for privacy.

Converting the Wall to Surface
You can apply tiles to the surfaces of generic primitive objects and internal walls by changing the type of object status it has.
Using Convert To Surface on a primitive changes it from a singular object to a group of surfaces.
| Note! Once you have used Convert To Surface on a primitive object, you will not be able to move it in the plan without reconverting it first. |
Take the following steps to convert a primitive:
- Ensure you are happy with the shape and placement of your primitive in your plan.
- Click the Select icon in the toolbar.
-
Click the primitive shape to highlight.
-
Right-click and select Convert To Surfaces.

Adding Extra Lights
Creating new spaces using interior walls can leave parts of your plan poorly lit, making further designing difficult. You may wish to create more VR lights to brighten the space so you can continue designing with less difficulty.
In 3D view:
1. Navigate to Graphics > Lighting Wizard and then select the Environment Variables tab.
2. Select Add new light to insert a new VR light into the design.
3. Use the referencing tool to reposition this light into the new room.

Tiling an Internal Wall
You can now apply tiles to the surface in the same way as tiling walls and floors. When tiling, make sure to use the tiling tool on each surface part of the converted primitive shape you need to tile.
