How to navigate the Basic and Intermediate sketchpad modes

In the Control Panel, click the Interface Mode drop-down menu and select Basic.



You should then see the Basic menu below:

Select - Select a shape on the canvas for editing. Edit - Allows shapes to be manipulated and measurements to be changed. Rectangle - Click and drag to create a rectangular or square shape. Polygon - Use to create a custom shape by drawing single lines at a time. Generate Room - Generate a 3D model of the shape created with wall height and thickness. Undo - Undo the last action. Redo - Redo the last action.

There is also a measurement box at the bottom of the Control Panel which uses Width and Depth to change the shape and size of the current selection on the sketchpad:

Select - Select a shape on the canvas for editing. Edit - Allows shapes to be manipulated and measurements to be changed. Zoom - Use left-click to zoom in and right-click to zoom out. Pan - Left-click and hold to pan around the canvas. Rectangle - Left-click and drag to create a rectangular or square shape. Polygon - Use to create a custom shape by drawing single lines at a time. Ellipse - Left-click and drag to create an elliptical shape. Rotate Left / Right - Rotate the current selection in the canvas 90 degrees to the left or the right. Mirror Horizontal / Vertical - Flip the orientation of the current selection in the canvas horizontally or vertically. Generate Room - Generate a 3D model of the shape created with wall height and thickness. Show Grid - Toggle the grid lines on the canvas. Snap to Grid - Toggle snapping to the grid lines on the canvas when drawing. Undo - Undo the last action. Redo - Redo the last action.
