In Virtual Worlds, any template can have its tiles replaced with a similar shaped tile from your catalogues.
If you are using a generic tile template, the next step required is to replace the placeholder tile with your own selection. In this article, the example will be replacing tiles from a generic template pattern. For more information, see Using generic tile templates. |
-
Left-click on the tiles you want to replace in your plan.
-
Right-click and select Replace Tile in Template.
- In the Selected Tiles in Template window, each type of tile required in the pattern template will be listed.
The amount of individual tiles to replace will depend on how elaborate the pattern is.
- On the first tile line, click Change next to the image currently listed.
- In the Tile Browser window, you will be able to search and filter on all tiles installed.
1: The current selected tile will be listed in Current Selection.
2: In the Search section, click the Catalogue Name drop-down and select a tile catalogue.
3: Once a catalogue is selected, you can filter on Width, Height, Finish and Range as well as searching using the Product Name or Product ID if you have it.
4:Click Search once you have selected a tile catalogue and set the Nominal Width and Height.
The Nominal dimensions will already be entered into the search section (3) to help you find the right tiles that fit the template.
Note: If you select a tile catalogue that does not have the dimensions required, the tile browser will automatically remove the filter to provide options. If you change your tile catalogue afterwards, set the dimension filter again to ensure that you are finding tiles the correct size. - Click Search.
- All tiles that fit the nominal width and height will list in the display area.
You can hold right-click on a tile line to see the tile magnified.
-
Left-click to select a tile.
Note: Tick the Favourite box to quickly access the tile again later. All your favourites will be available in the Favourites tab, but you cannot filter sizes in this section. - Click OK.
- The Selected Tiles in Template window will update with the preview image of your replaced tile.
- Continue changing all the tiles listed.
- When all tiles have been replaced in the Selected Tiles in Template window, click OK.
- The placed template will repopulate with the replaced tiles.
Now that you have replaced the tiles, save the template as a customised Tile template pattern. After saving the template, further adjustments to settings such as grout colour and rules can be made. The articles below provides assistance in possible next steps.
