The Virtual Worlds Quick Start Guide is the perfect starting point for beginners. It provides simple, step-by-step instructions to help you navigate the basics and set up your first design with ease.
To begin, you must have installed the following: | ||

Generate
To begin a new design, select New Design:
Enter the Client Design Information and click Continue:
Select a room layout. These can be edited, or you can click Sketchpad to design a custom layout:
Click Generate Room. In the Generate Room window, confirm by clicking Generate:

In 3D view, navigation is done with the tools below:

The Tilt and Turn tool is best for general navigation: Left-click and drag to tilt and turn, right-click and drag to zoom, and hold both mouse buttons and drag to pan. There are keyboard shortcuts you can use to speed up your navigation of Virtual Worlds, to learn more click here.

Decoration Tools
Use Decoration Tools to customise surfaces, apply trims, and refine your design. Examples include Paint and Surface Textures for changing colours or patterns, Tiling to apply tiles, and Wet Wall Panels for waterproof surfaces.

Paint and Textures
Applying Paint and Textures involves a similar process, though there are some key differences.

Tiling
To insert a tile into your Virtual Worlds design, begin by selecting the Tile Browser icon from the toolbar.
In the Tile Browser window that opens, search for you tile in the catalogues available and select Insert Selected Tile to import this into your design.
Next, place this tile onto the surface you wish to tile by using the Drag tool and then select the Tiling Wizard. In the wizard, select Tile Whole Surface
followed by Apply / Refresh Template to tile the entire surface.

Wet Wall Panels
Wall Panels function like tiles but are located differently. In the Catalogue window, they have their own category.
Go to the Wall Panels category, choose the manufacturer, catalogue, and wall panel you need, then click Insert Tile to add it to your design. After that, use the Tiling Wizard to cover the desired wall section.
2D Diagrams
In the 2D Diagram window, click New Plan to create 2D layouts. Add dimensions, annotations, and other details for technical or presentation purposes.

Rendering
Create High Resolution or Photorealistic images from the Views tab. Click Create Image, select your preferred quality, and choose Start to render in Virtual Worlds or Export to use the Stand Alone Renderer (SAR).
