- Shut down PC
- Switch off Link Box
It is critical that the PC is shut down regularly to allow Windows updates. If this has not been completed in some time, shut down the PC and allow a rest period before restarting.
- Check the PC housing to see if it is overheating
- Maximise ventilation
- Shut down PC
The 4D Theatre PC generates a large amount of heat. Sustained usage and not shutting down periodically can cause the PC to overheat and slow down. Shut down the PC to allow it cool if it is overheating.
- Ensure there are no unplugged or loose cables
- Check your headset cable
Check all cables to make sure they are all plugged in correctly on the monitor and PC to ensure there are no loose connections. Also, check your 4DT headset to ensure the main cable (just above the left eye) is plugged in properly – the main cable can come loose with if the headset is continually used.
- Ensure GeForce drivers are up to date
Failure to update the GeForce drivers can cause lagging when using 4D Theatre.
