To use Stand Alone Renderer (SAR), viewpoints are exported from Virtual Worlds Professional to be accessed by the SAR application.
Note: The method for exporting a render is the same for any mode set in SAR. |
To export a file for the SAR from Virtual Worlds Professional, take the following steps:
- Open a 3D design and set the required viewpoint.
- In the Menu bar, click Tools and select Create image file... .
- In the Create Image window, choose your preferences for the render.
Note: It is recommended that you produce a test render before exporting.
- Ensure that you select a smaller size in the Resolution drop-down.
- Tick Test Render in the Image section, and then click Start in the bottom left.
Once checked for lighting and general layout, you can continue.
Click Export... . In the Save As window, enter a file name.
- Click Save.
The image will now be exported, and is ready to be rendered using SAR.
If you are using Directory Mode and it is set to be active on start up of Virtual Worlds professional, the render will begin immediately. You can also now use the other modes by manually finding the exported image. See article Configuring Stand Alone Renderer (SAR): Mode selection to set a mode.
