Creating videos in Virtual Worlds allows you to showcase your designs with smooth, cinematic walkthroughs. These are ideal for client presentations, marketing content, or portfolio work. This guide walks you through the full process of building and rendering a video inside the platform.
Set Up Your Video
- Begin by capturing your camera views. Open the Views tab and use the Save View Position button to store the key angles or scenes you want to appear in the video. You can see more information on setting viewpoints here.
- Open the Tools drop-down menu and select Create Video File. This will activate the Video tab on the control panel.
- Under the Waypoint Editor, click Add Empty Path to create a new camera path for your video.
- Switch between your saved views and the Video tab. At each viewpoint, position the camera and click Add to drop that view onto the path.
| Note: It is possible to record a video manually using the Record button in the Video tab of the control panel while moving the camera manually. However, this approach lacks the smooth transitions and precise control provided by the waypoint method. |
Record and Export
- Once all waypoints are added, use the Play button to preview the animation.
- When you're happy with the sequence, click Export Video.
- Choose your resolution and frame rate carefully.
| Note: Virtual Worlds renders each frame of the video one-by-one. Higher resolutions will significantly increase rendering time. |
- To complete the video, either select Generate to render locally or Export to send the video file to SAR for processing.
