Once you have prepared product options and set 4D Viewpoints for your completed design, you are now ready to upload to the Design Cloud.
The Virtual Worlds Professional extension, Design Cloud, publishes your designs to the cloud. Designs can be kept private or made public and added to a gallery that you create. Once made public, it is available to be viewed by clients on any internet-enabled device, at any time.
As well as hosting your standard renders, 4D Theatre uses this platform to host your published 4D designs. For more information on Design Cloud, see our collection of articles here: Using Design Cloud.
- With your design open in Virtual Worlds, click Design in the Menu bar.
- Click Publish....
- In the Publish Design window, all available platforms for publishing will be listed. In the Design Cloud section, click Select.

Enter your Design Details:
- Check which sign-in you are using and how your name is presented to the customer.
- Enter Design Name - The name displayed in the administrative part of Design Cloud.
- Enter Display Name - The name shown at the top of the screen in 4D Theatre.
- Enter Design Description - Add more details about the design.
It is important to consider the details you enter, as they will appear in 4D Theatre.
- Click
Publish as New.
- The Publish Progress window will list each component being uploaded and notify you once the process is complete.
You can now view your private design in 4D Theatre or on Design Cloud, where it can be shared with clients.
