Once you have downloaded and installed the Virtual Worlds Download Manager as part of your Virtual Worlds installation, maintenance of the Download Manager is minimal. However, if you encounter difficulties, you can get help from our Support team.
In the Virtual Worlds Download Manager, click on the Help & Support tab:
Under Help, you can click Download Manager Help to open our online Support centre, which will open in the Download Manager & Catalogues section. You can also click Automatic Updates Help, which will open the article How to set up automatic catalogue downloads. Clicking Remote assistance will launch TeamViewer, which will allow one of our Support team to connect to your PC remotely to offer assistance.
Under Diagnostics, the status of the background processes and permissions that allow the Download Manager to function are shown:
- Download Manager (DMInstallService) should be Running.
- One of the SQL Server entries should be Running.
- Download Folder Run Permissions should be OK.
- Folder Write Permissions should both be OK.
