Optimisation of tiles
Tiles are no longer rendered individually. In 4.1, tiles are grouped by material and rendered in a single pass, which significantly improves performance and can recover a large amount of FPS in tiled scenes.
TV Display controls
You can now control what is visible on the TV display while using 4D Theatre. Three modes are available.
Smoothed
Delivers enhanced camera movement smoothness on the TV display.Note: This mode may impact headset performance on certain systems. Realtime
Provides synchronised real time mirroring of the headset display.Note: This mode can have a positive impact on framerate as the scene is not rendered a second time. - None
Disables TV rendering entirely and displays a black screen.
Updated Camera Anti Aliasing mode
Camera Anti Aliasing has been improved to greatly reduce jaggedness and edge artefacts, particularly around sharp edges that were previously amplified by tiles.
- UI items are rendered after anti aliasing is applied, ensuring UI elements remain crisp and unblurred.
Adds fullscreen toggle to Launchpad
A fullscreen toggle has been added to the Launchpad and can be found in the top corner of the Launchpad top bar.
Hand Menu improvements
Hand Menu interaction has been refined to reduce unintended selections.
- After activating a menu item, the user must move their hand away before another item can be selected.
- This enables smoother menu navigation without accidentally triggering additional actions.
Bug Fixes
- Fixes filament lighting having no visual impact when turned on.
- Fixes a blank screen when logging into the Launchpad with an account that has no designs in their 4D Theatre gallery.
- Fixes the first viewpoint being activated when logging into the Launchpad during an active session.
