As your customer enjoys the immersive experience of 4D Theatre, you have the flexibility to quickly switch the design's contents, showcasing various price or style options, based on their feedback.
This not only keeps them engaged, but also enhances the chances of making a sale.
These options are prepared using the Product Options tool in Virtual Worlds Professional, before publishing as a 4D Theatre design, via the Design Cloud application. |
The following steps show how to set two different product options for the design in Virtual Worlds Professional, ready for upload to 4D Theatre.
Add your first product option
- In the design, click the Select icon in the toolbar and left-click on the item to select.
- In the menu bar click Design and select Product Options... .
The Product options window is separated into an Options list (A), and an Option Content list (B).
- In the Product Options window, click the Add New Product Option icon.
In the Options list (A), a new option will populate. It is recommended that you name these options after the product type to be changed, for example "Bath".
- Type the product type name you want and hit Enter. For new product types, a Preference will automatically truncate.
- Type the preference name (for example, the finish or brand of the product) and hit Enter.
- In Option Content (B), click the Add selected to option icon.
The first product option has been saved.
- You can now continue to add more product options, which could be a different brand, colour, shape or configuration.
- The Product Options window can remain open while you add further product options.

Adding more product options
- Place the next item into the design. Do not to remove the previous item - once the next option is set, the items will not clash.
- If the Product Options window is not open, go to the menu bar, click Design and select Product Options... .
- Ensure that the second item you want to add is selected, not the original item.
- Check that the correct Product Option is highlighted, and click the Add Preference icon.
- Type the preference name and hit Enter.
- In Option Content, click the Add selected to option icon.
The second preference for this product option should now be saved.
- Click between the preferences to check they have saved correctly and that there is no clash.
- You can alter the placement after saving the preferences without needing to re-save the content.
- If you want the placement to be exactly the same for both placements, it is recommended to make a note of the distance line references for the original product, and enter the same for the second item.
