Virtual Worlds version 8.1 reveals several new features, such as real-time mirror resolution and improvements to the placement of recessed doors and windows. For details of all new features, see article Virtual Worlds: What's New in v8.1.36.
The following Features and Fixes have been implemented to Virtual Worlds v8.1. Please note that some of these changes are also included in unreleased versions of v8.0 (added after v8.0.292).

Fixes
- Fixed Layers dialogue on multi-monitor setups
- Fixed an issue where custom wall panel templates couldn’t be reused upon loading a design.
- Fixed “Enter a Number” error that would appear on some user’s machines during start-up:
- Fixed normal maps not working on walls.
- Fixed cutters (and other hidden units) affecting dynamic hoses.

- Fixed instance of crashing when part elevation symbols were missing information.
- Fixed instance of crashing when resizing a room with windows cut into an alcove.
- Fixed instance of crashing when using the “Equal Weight” button in the Template dialogue.
- Fixed an occasional crash when closing a design with multiple items selected.
- Fixed instance of crashing when users click away from the “Do you want to update cached files?” message box
- Fixed general cutting issues when dragging recessed items. Items no longer re-recess while dragging, instead they recess when you release the left button.
- Fixed issues when nudging recessed items within an internal wall.
- Fixed shower trays that can be tiled. Tiles were tiling in different directions.

- Fixed lights changing size on loading when “Filament Lighting” is enabled.
- Fixed Normal Maps being ignored at Unit level in Urho.
- Fixed an issue in photorealistic rendering where light bulbs glowed even when they were turned off.
- Fixed an issue with drag mode not working when an item is selected in the scene graph.
